SignD is a Vienna based company, serving global markets out of Austria. We have been founded by Bernhard Reiterer in February 2019 and commissioned our first SIM-card customer identification solution with telecom operators within a few months.
Our custom-built, proprietary platform is probably one of the most modern in the KYC sector, and unleashes the combined power of 30+ different onboarding, compliance, signature and payment functionalities from a range of industry-leading providers.
All services carry their industry-specific certifications and offer highest-availability and reliability. SignD has developed real, sustainable technology advantages – which will only accelerate now, as more and more demands are made on this sector due to threats like COVID, security breaches and fraud abound.
The SignD core team consists of about 20 experienced business and technology experts based in Austria, France, Spain, Ireland and Poland.

Milestones
In a co-working space in Vienna, Austria, Bernhard Reiterer found SignD with 2 friends and some employees. Inspired by the tedious process of opening a bank account online, the idea was to provide the world with a seamless and easy to integrate onboarding solution for regulated industries
Soon the team realized that the needs for easy, smart and compliant onboarding journeys went further the mobile industry and even beyond solely identification. The first Beta version of an integrated platform for compliant onboarding journeys saw light early 2020.
The first version of the all-in-one-stop shop for compliant onboarding journeys, Quantum from SignD, is launched to the market. The integration of multiple databases, networks and interconnection of IDaaS products makes it a game-changer in the industry
SignD is officially recognized as a LRA (Local Registration Authority) according to the European Union regulations, meaning we are entitled to design and operate risk-based online processes to verify the identity of individuals for the issuing of Qualified Electronic Certificates under the eIDAS regulation (EU N° 910/2014)
